HiTECH is proud to now carry the new radar from VEGA: the VEGAPULS 64. This is the first radar level sensor for liquids that operates at a frequency of 80 GHz. This new radar sensor is built for any size container, no matter how small. Due to the 80 GHz frequency, VEGAPULS 64 measurements are accurate and focused. It is not compromised by heating coils, other internal installations, condensation, or other buildup on the vessel walls because the 80 GHz radar beam only reflects from the product surface.
Intrinsically Safe Certification for the New Series 4000 and DP-4000
Klay recently obtained the intrinsically safe certification for the new series 4000 and DP-4000. This means there are now both ATEX and IECEx certifications on all transmitter series.
For the Series 2000 also certification for a Dust environment (ia) and Ex-nA (zone 2) is available. An important factor for all certifications is the ambient and process temperature.
There is a new selection table showing all possibilities and temperature classes regarding explosion safety. Easy to select the right instrument with the certification you need.
CROMLAVIEW® CR500 Laser Sensor
ASTECH proudly introduces the latest laser sensor product for industrial color detection purposes.
The brand new CROMLAVIEW® CR500 features a new patented compensation algorithm for variable working distances. With this method – called CROMLADIST® – the sensor provides precise and reliable recognition results, even if the working distance changes within the process.
In addition there is the well-known CROMLASTAB® function for drift compensation, which grants long term interruption-free operation without any maintenance.
The CROMLAVIEW® CR500 is equipped with a special optical fiber for easy adaption to application requirements. The parameterization of the sensor can be done by pushbuttons or by using the comfortable supplied PC software CRTool-CR500.
The attached technical contribution, published in the German SPS-MAGAZIN, provides more detailed information about the new CROMLAVIEW® CR500 color sensor. View Product Specifications
Klay ‘All Stainless Steel’ Pressure Transmitters for the Food & Beverage Industries
Klay Instruments manufactures a wide range of pressure and hydrostatic level transmitters for the Food & dairy industry.
Key features are the Stainless Steel electronics housing and the strong flush diaphragms with Active Temperature compensation, according to the Klay Flush Diaphragm technology.
We offer two different transmitter lines:
Series 8000-SAN. Accuracy 0.2%. Zero and span internally adjustable.
Series 2000-SAN. Accuracy 0.1% ’Intelligent’ series. and easy calibration without test pressure by 3 pushbuttons and a display.
Series 4000-SAN. Accuracy 0.075%. All Klay series offer the following features:
- Stainless Steel electronics housing
- Strong and polished flush diaphragms
- Minimum oil filling
- Active Temperature compensation
- More than 40 hygienic process connections
The available ranges are from 0 -40 mbar up to 0 – 1000 bar with an output 4-20 mA.
On the series 2000-SAN and 4000-SAN the HART protocol is available.
For level applications a tank linearization can be programmed very easy in both the series 2000-SAN and 4000-SAN.
All Klay transmitters are CIP and SIP cleanable and are certified according to 3A and EHEDG.
Klay DP Transmitter with Stainless Steel Housing
Klay Instruments has introduced a NEW ‘Intelligent’ Differential Pressure transmitter named DP-4000. This dP transmitter is standard equipped with a compact and rugged Stainless Steel electronics housing.
The DP-4000 has a basic accuracy of 0.075% (Option: 0.065%) Ranges
are available from 10 mbar to 20 bar with a turn down up to 100:1.
The calibration / programming can be done very easy without test pressure by using the Unique ‘One Touch programming button’ together with the Graphic display with backlight. The multilingual graphic display can indicate a number of chosen engineering units including the process temperature and the actual value in a bargraph. Damping times can be adjusted and a 4-20 mA current simulation can be performed. For flow measurement a square root function is available and for Level measurement a tank linearization can be programmed very easy.
Various remote ‘chemical’ seals are available. The diaphragm material is standard SS316L, as an option Hastelloy C or Tantalum can be supplied.
The output is 4-20 mA including HART protocol (HART 5 and 7, selectable).
For use in hazardous environments the DP-4000 is certified according to both ATEX II1G (Ex ia IIC T6) and IECEx.
